In all of my pieces, I try to transform the space in lands in and offer an opening to another world. In a modern setting I am almost neutralizing the experience. 

A statement piece changes the space. When you are investing in art think about what you want people to see. The couch should be the landing place and the art the expression anchoring the whole room.
