A seed holds everything it will become and shows none of it. Pale yellow carries the whole canvas, worked thin and left open. Grey and charcoal gather into soft blocks across it, stacked and overlapping like a hillside settling into place. Small notes of red and plum surface and go under. Drips run down through the field in a dozen places. Nothing here has finished happening. The forms are massing rather than arranged, and the edges stay soft so no shape locks.
Change works this way before anyone notices it: quiet, distributed, already underway. Six feet wide and unusually calm for the scale. Yellow and grey hold a room without asking anything of it, which makes this one of the easiest large pieces in the studio to live with. It works above a sofa, a long console, or a dining wall.
