Slate grey across both panels, worked thin so the ground breathes. White chalk runs the whole surface: figures, arcs, frames, and words, with shadow legible at the upper left. Pink and pale blue break in at the lower edges. Blackboard palette, continuous working, a problem set out and never closed.
Six feet of quiet grey. Suits a study, a library, an office, or a dining room. The near monochrome sits with any palette in the room, and the chalk line rewards standing close. Hang the panels tight so the seam reads as one board.
