Ananda is the Sanskrit word for bliss. Not pleasure, and not calm. The kind that holds everything at once without needing any of it to settle.
The canvas is packed edge to edge in mauve, brown, grey, and cream, with yellow burning through in small hot patches and magenta and blue line running over all of it. Faces surface in the upper right and go under again. Nothing has room, and nothing is fighting for it. Every form sits against another form, and the whole surface stays warm.
Large and horizontal, just over six feet wide. Dense work at this scale rewards a wall you pass close to, where the crowding becomes company rather than noise.
