All embracing means nothing gets left out. The painting takes that literally. Orange, rose, yellow, plum, and cream fill the canvas edge to edge. There is no open ground anywhere on it. Oil pastel is scrubbed over acrylic and scraped back, with drawn line and script caught between the layers. Curved strokes loop through the field in every direction and none of them finish.
No focal point, no hierarchy, no place the eye is told to rest. Every mark is holding the marks around it. To embrace everything is to give nothing its own corner, and this surface does exactly that. Hot, dense, and wall to wall. It raises the temperature of a room rather than sitting quietly in one, and the worked surface rewards standing close.
