Yellow, red, and slate fill the canvas top to bottom. Standing forms crowd the whole surface: cones, bells, small domes, vessels with drawn line running over and through them. Nothing has open ground. Every form sits against another form. Sangha is the community of practitioners.
Not a teacher and not a teaching, just everyone who showed up. The painting is made that way. No single mark leads, nothing is centered, and the crowding is the subject rather than a problem to solve. Drawn line covers it in graphite, blue, and gold. Two small figures stand at the lower left, the only ones with a body. Tall, hot, and dense. It rewards standing close, where the individual forms separate out of the field.
