Hand-dyed upcycled canvas pieces made from The New Denim Project stapled to a wood frame.

Buddhist monks in India were originally supposed to wear robes made from discarded cloth. Over time, new cloth for robes became the practice of cutting the cloth into small pieces and sewing them together to make robes. Gasa is the manifestation of the discarded elements or 'gems' of cloth from other works that don't fit on a full canvas but instead fit together to create the finished work of art.

Kurtis Brand offers this in multiple sizes in a limited quantity. For custom, please inquire.
